The b (flat) symbol is used to denote the Flatted Keys, i.e. F Bb Eb Ab Db

b = F, bb = Bb, bbb = Eb, bbbb = Ab, bbbbb = Db.    Again they are placed on the flatted note on the Clef.

Example:  key of Bb   =  Bb C D Eb F G A This can be remembered as  FBEAD
